About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Finance and be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of accounting.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data creatively and innovatively. They will also possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Recording and posting daily financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
  • Processing and posting invoice batches within the sales module, ensuring proper deferral of invoices.
  • Reviewing Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports and collaborating with the Sales Director to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Handling customer account credits, return memos, and cash receipts, applying payments accurately.

In addition, they will prepare and issue customer invoices, reconcile monthly invoice activity, and manage supporting documentation for customer invoices.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A finalist or qualified professional accountant certification or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of multi-currency transactions.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
