Legal Advisor Role

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Legal Advisor. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing expert advice on commercial and corporate topics, including day-to-day advice.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile organizations on a range of diverse and interesting legal advisory projects across multiple countries in the Middle East.

You will be involved in energy and infrastructure transactions, helping clients deal with the evolution of the energy and infrastructure landscape. This may include greenfield project development and project finance transactions, development and adaptation of regulatory models, and M&A across the energy and infrastructure sectors.

As part of a global entity, you can also expect to manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the law practice and the wider network, and help them do the same.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice on commercial and corporate topics, including day-to-day advice
  2. Manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the law practice and the wider network
  3. Contribute to the development of the legal practice through initiatives such as delivering internal training, developing precedents, sharing know-how, participating in team and firm events, giving internal and external presentations, and producing expert articles for publications
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified lawyer from a reputable legal practice environment
  • Good knowledge of common topics within the sector such as project agreements, project finance documentation, construction contracts, O&M agreements, oil & gas contracting structures, etc.
  • Ability to develop regulatory frameworks for evolving utility markets
  • Strong client relationship-building capabilities combined with strategic and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, self-management, and project management skills

Ideally, you'll also have fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
