Energy and Infrastructure Lawyer Opportunity in Pakistan

Job Description:

We are seeking a senior lawyer to join our team and contribute to the development of energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan. As a key member of our legal practice, you will have the opportunity to work with high-profile clients on diverse legal advisory projects.

  • You will be involved in various energy and infrastructure transactions across multiple countries in the Middle East, providing commercial and corporate advice to clients.
  • You will manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the law practice and the wider network, helping them to grow and develop.
  • You will contribute to the development of the legal practice through initiatives such as delivering internal training, developing precedents, sharing knowledge, participating in team and firm events, giving presentations, and producing expert articles for publications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have a solid understanding of the region's energy & infrastructure sector, including key players, industry trends, and legal topics specific to the sector.

  • You should be able to solve problems creatively and pragmatically, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work and challenges.
  • You should have great negotiation skills and be able to adapt quickly to changing laws and regulations, thanks to a keen desire for continuing to develop your legal skills and knowledge.
  • You should have at least 5 years of experience as a qualified lawyer from a reputable legal practice environment.
  • You should have good knowledge of common topics within the sector, such as project agreements, project finance documentation, construction contracts, O&M agreements, oil & gas contracting structures, etc.
  • You should have ability to develop regulatory frameworks for evolving utility markets.
  • You should have strong client relationship-building capabilities combined with strategic and commercial awareness.
  • You should have excellent communication, collaboration, self-management, and project management skills.
