Event Planning and Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Event Planning and Operations Manager to lead our events team, overseeing event strategy, execution, and operations.

  • Develop and execute event strategies, managing all aspects of event planning and operations, including vendor management, logistics, and budgeting.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, such as hotel staff and suppliers, to ensure successful event execution, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage event budgets, providing comprehensive financial reporting, identifying areas for cost savings, and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain an event calendar, ensuring timely updates and effective project management, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Identify and recruit high-performing team members and volunteers to support events, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance team efficiency and performance, promoting knowledge sharing, skill development, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of individual and team performance, providing regular updates to senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal outcomes, leveraging procurement expertise to achieve cost-effective solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event planning and operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks, communicating timelines, and maintaining a positive working relationship with senior management and other stakeholders.

Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning and operations, preferably in an established events venue or 4/5-star hotel property, with a proven track record of delivering successful events.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on budgets, achieving financial goals, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Fluency in English language is preferred, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of event operations, with experience working outside traditional office hours, flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
