Cloud Security Governance Leader

About the Role:

This is a strategic leadership position that requires shaping and enforcing governance, risk, and compliance practices across our digital landscape. As Cloud Security Governance Leader, you will play a key role in driving our cybersecurity strategy and ensuring that it aligns with international standards and business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity governance policies and documentation to ensure consistency and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Oversee internal governance structures to ensure they are effective in managing risks and meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Provide policy leadership on emerging compliance areas such as AI governance and cloud-specific standards.
  • Lead risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify potential security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a dynamic risk register to track and prioritize security risks.
  • Advise senior leadership on cybersecurity risk appetite and priority initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, CIS Controls, NIST CSF, and SANS.
  • Coordinate and lead audit readiness efforts to ensure smooth audits and assessments.
  • Work closely with security operations and engineering teams to validate control effectiveness.
  • Recommend improvements to technical security controls to enhance overall security posture.
  • Stay current with threat intelligence and advise on proactive defenses and incident readiness.
  • Contribute to incident response planning and lead compliance-related post-incident reviews.
  • Provide comprehensive risk and compliance reporting to executive leadership.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in GRC roles with direct engagement in cybersecurity domains.
  • Demonstrated experience with compliance management and cybersecurity operations.
  • Familiarity with international regulators, including those in Europe.
