Job Description

The Strategic Initiatives Director will be responsible for leading and driving key strategic projects and initiatives that support the bank's long-term growth and competitive positioning. This role oversees corporate affairs, including stakeholder engagement with external partners. Additionally, this position will aid in transforming towards Islamic banking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key advisor to senior management on strategic matters and transformation initiatives. Ensure alignment across internal departments for strategic project execution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify growth opportunities, operational efficiencies, and innovative solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.
  • Lead coordination with external partners on corporate affairs.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance of all partnership contracts and monitor ongoing obligations.
  • Liaise with Shariah advisors and ensure alignment with Islamic finance principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires a strong background in strategic management or corporate affairs, ideally within banking or financial services. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • MBA, LLB/LLM or relevant advanced degree preferred.

In terms of experience, the successful candidate should have at least 10 years' experience in strategic management or corporate affairs.
