Senior Automation Developer Role Summary

\

This is a highly skilled position that involves designing, developing, and testing automation solutions for various business areas. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, experience with database design, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

\

The successful candidate will work under some supervision, making decisions that have a moderate impact on projects and operations. They will be responsible for unit testing their own code, communicating with project leads, and gathering information to troubleshoot issues.

\

In this role, you will participate in code reviews, write code for small features or bug fixes, and collaborate with other analysts to complete coding tasks. You will also manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test automation solutions for various business areas.\
  • Unit test own code to verify stability and functionality.\
  • Communicate with project leads via conversation to make recommendations about overcoming impending obstacles.\
  • Gather, integrate, and interpret information from various sources to troubleshoot issues and find solutions.\
  • Resolve standard software issues and bugs.\
  • Adapt to significant changes and setbacks to manage pressure and meet deadlines independently.\
  • Participate in code reviews on project team's submitted solutions.\
  • Write code for small features or minor bug fixes to support collaboration with other engineers.\
  • Anticipate complex issues and discuss within and outside of project team to maintain open communication.\
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.\
  • Collaborate with other Analysts to complete assigned coding tasks to specifications without significant errors or bugs.\
  • Determine which work tasks are most important for self and junior personnel, manage distractions, and deal with setbacks in a timely manner.\
  • Execute against current technology roadmap.\
  • Work under some supervision.\
  • Making decisions that have moderate impact; errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.\
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question.\
  • Most tasks require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.\
  • Deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.\
  • Exercising creativity to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.\
