
Power and Utilities Sales Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Power and Utilities Sales Specialist to provide techno-commercial support, sales engineering, communication, customer service, and sales activities for our projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting business growth by developing strategies to expand our product portfolio in the renewable, thermal, and hydro sectors. This includes commercial activities such as market surveys, proposal development, tender responses, etc.
- Promoting Business Growth: Develop effective sales plans to increase our presence in power generation, transmission, and distribution sectors by understanding clients' needs in this market.
- Establishing Sales Strategies: Create customized sales approaches to expand our market share in power generation, transmission, and distribution sectors.
- Driving Business Development: Lead business development efforts for major opportunities in coordination with area offices and business line/functional heads.
- Project Management: Maintain all projects, opportunities, and tenders list for large opportunities in Sales Force.
- Market Sector Coordination: Oversee and coordinate market sector activities.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensure high client satisfaction levels.
- Tender Preparation: Identify, prepare, and submit pre-qualification, expression of interest, offers & tenders, including offer and contract review.
- Account Management: Manage and grow key accounts as may be defined by Sales Manager and BL Manager.
- Marketing Support: Provide marketing tools such as presentation materials, profiles, catalogs, reference lists, completion/appreciation letters, etc., to various offices.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical power, or a relevant field.
- Experience: 4-8 years of Sales/BD experience in the renewable, thermal, and hydro sectors or related.
- Commercial Expertise: Experience in pricing strategies, financial modeling, and contracts negotiation.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical and commercial information clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software. Experience with CRM tools is an advantage.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in technical and financial documentation.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client needs and align them with tailored solutions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with technical and business teams.
