We are seeking a Program Development Specialist to manage and coordinate the development of protection activities in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement protection strategies to ensure centrality of protection in line with IOM policies and procedures.
  • Strengthen and develop the CO's capacity to deliver protection support and core protection activities.
  • Supervise, train, coach and oversee the work of the Protection Unit's staff.
  • Analyze context and dynamics, assess opportunities and capacity for cooperation with national authorities.
  • Represent protection activities of Pakistan CO at relevant meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations, Law or a related field.
  • Experience in migration, IDP and refugee assistance and protection.
  • Demonstrated experience working with other sectors and partners in implementing, measuring and providing trainings on protection mainstreaming.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are implemented in accordance with IOM policies and procedures, and that the rights and dignity of all persons are respected and protected.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
