Psychometric Assessment Specialist
ASK Development Pvt (Ltd), Pakistan

Education: BS in Psychology with specialization or academic project on psychometric testing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops, evaluates tests and testing programs and related products that are closely aligned to the current subject-area standards.
  2. Writes items, reviews, and evaluations, test assembly, and scoring.
  3. Approves items for use on tests, evaluates both content and psychometric properties.
  4. Designs and develops new assessments and innovative products and services.
  5. Writes rules for test creation system, assembles pretests, tests and/or Computer-Adaptive Testing (CAT) pools.
  6. Plans and conducts reliability, validity or comparability studies.
  7. Plans, manages, and directs test development activities as a lead.
  8. Manages the item evaluation process for newly inducted or existing tests.
  9. Directs testing projects, delegates work, and monitors progress.
Job Specification

Experience: A fresh graduate may apply; however, professional experience in psychometric testing or related fields would carry an added advantage.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong writing skills, well-developed organizational skills, and a willingness/adeptness with regards to learning new testing-related technology.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fields of specialty in order to develop tests in subject area.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with clients.
  • Proficiency in SPSS or NVivo, Excel, and MS Office with knowledge of applied statistics.
