Job Title: Project Engineer

About the Job

Our organization is seeking skilled professionals to take on the role of Project Engineer. This individual will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and delivering software solutions that cater to industrial plant data management, ranging from edge devices to cloud-based platforms.

The successful candidate will be involved in the development of renewable energy projects focusing on solar, wind, hydro power, and battery storage sectors, as well as oil and gas operations. Collaborative work with the Norwegian team is an essential aspect of this position.

We require a self-driven engineer who can effectively work in teams, communicate with colleagues, and assume leadership roles when necessary. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability are also key attributes we seek in our ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and deploy SCADA systems according to project requirements, including parameter setup, tag mapping, and customization.
  • Perform thorough internal testing to validate system functionality and conduct external testing with clients to ensure compliance with project expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product development, and other internal teams to guarantee successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement procedures for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues within the system.
  • Provide training to customers on SCADA systems and offer ongoing technical support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science.
  • Relevant experience in the field, ideally 2-4 years.
  • Fluency in oral and written English communication.
  • Ability to interact directly with customers.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in hybrid energy systems, including solar PV, BESS, hydropower, and wind energy.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and processes, encompassing upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
  • Hands-on experience with various SCADA platforms, such as Wonderware, WinCC, Ignition, GE iFIX.
  • Proficiency in industrial communication protocols like Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850.
  • Proficient in algorithm development and logical problem solving using C#, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Experience working with databases, MS SQL, PostgreSQL preferably.
  • Familiarity with Windows management tools and services, .NET Framework development environment.
  • Skilled in Microsoft office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Lens.
