Job Title: Commercial Manager Business Development

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires an experienced business development professional to spearhead all prospecting, business development and leasing of equipment and ground space on Tower infrastructure to named wireless carrier accounts in an assigned geographic area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving new business initiatives, identifying opportunities with named wireless carriers, tower owners, consultants and other new prospects through research, calls, meetings and presentations. They will also be expected to effectively market and lease communications infrastructure, Build-to-Suit capabilities and services to customers within an established geographic area.

  1. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all product and service offerings.
  2. Effectively market and lease communications infrastructure, Build-to-Suit capabilities and services to customers within an established geographic area.
  3. Identify new business opportunities with named wireless carriers, tower owners, consultants and other new prospects through research, calls, meetings and presentations.
  4. Develop and drive new business initiatives.
  5. Broaden established customer relationships and develop new relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to increase account knowledge and influence.
  6. Establish and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified new business opportunities.
  7. Leverage effective closing skills to drive new business, i.e., overcome customer objections and/or obstacles throughout the sales process.
  8. Initiate, organize, prepare and lead customer sales calls with consistent follow-through.
  9. Maintain a clear understanding of customers' business, decision-makers and influencers, as well as the budget and approval processes.
  10. Champion customer issues, challenges and opportunities internally while providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Proven successful sales track record with a growth mindset.
  2. Excellent ability to create new, and maintain existing, account relationships.
  3. Strong networking and prospecting skills; able to research and prioritize potential opportunities and create relationships that lead to new sales.
  4. Self-starter with the ability and motivation to work independently to achieve goals.
  5. Ability to qualify leads effectively and manage business opportunities to consistently achieve targets.
  6. Ability to identify key contacts for follow up; excellent ability to communicate project and status updates to team and cross-functionally to ensure understanding.
  7. Ability to work with functional groups and different levels of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  8. Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to requests.
  9. Effective in achieving results in a time-sensitive and high volume environment.
  10. Good strategic and creative problem solving skills that effectively influence decision making in negotiations.
  11. Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
