Production Systems Engineer - Calcium Carbonate Plant

We seek a highly skilled Production Systems Engineer to join our team at our Calcium Carbonate Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of integrated mechanical, electronic, and control systems.

The Production Systems Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing production processes, ensuring the reliability of equipment, and enhancing the efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Integration: Develop and implement mechatronic systems to enhance production efficiency, design control systems for machinery and automated processes within the plant.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechatronic systems and equipment, diagnose and resolve technical issues related to mechanical, electronic, and control systems.
  • Automation and Control: Program and configure PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI interfaces, implement automation solutions to streamline processes and reduce downtime.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of system designs, modifications, and maintenance activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Assist in project planning, execution, and evaluation of engineering initiatives, contribute to cost analysis and budgeting for mechatronic projects.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to plant staff on new systems and technologies, stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechatronics and automation.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, and control theory
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Python, or similar
  • Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the mineral processing industry, specifically with calcium carbonate production
  • Knowledge of ISO and safety standards relevant to industrial operations
