We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role involves analyzing project documents, performing detailed takeoffs, and developing accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze all project documents to accurately define the electrical scope of work.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs and calculate the accurate costs associated with the electrical scope for each project.
  • Provide detailed instructions on drawings regarding the running of temporary power, service, one-line diagrams, and branch circuits.
  • Prepare and review estimates using third-party estimate review platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bid forms.
  • Create comprehensive proposals with detailed descriptions and qualifications for each phase of the electrical work.
  • Collaborate with the Owner and Project Manager to review proposals and address any scope-related queries before submission.
  • Ensure contracts are accurate and reflect the correct document dates, scope of work, and qualifications.
  • Obtain verbal approval, Letters of Intent (LOIs), or contracts for estimated projects.
  • Utilize historical data to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for different project types and apply these metrics to ensure estimate accuracy.
  • Collaborate with third-party estimators during periods of high project load.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical estimating.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the USA National Electrical Code (NEC) is mandatory.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in estimation software, including platforms for labor and materials databases.
  • Strong understanding of civil, plumbing, mechanical, architectural, electrical, fire alarm, telecom, and low-voltage system drawings and specifications.
  • Skilled in using tools like Bluebeam, Conest, Excel, Word, Dropbox, and Outlook.
