Project Director for Climate-Resilient Infrastructure

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead the development of climate-resilient infrastructure with expertise in managing large-scale projects, possessing strong technical skills and leadership abilities.

Duties include:

  1. Leading High-Capital Projects: Managing all phases of planning, budgeting, design review, and execution of campus infrastructure projects with key stakeholders.
  2. Master Planning & Climate Resilience: Leading master planning and feasibility studies incorporating climate-adaptive features such as stormwater management, green infrastructure, insulation, and passive cooling.
  3. Team Management & Leadership: Supervising project managers and cost-control teams, providing mentorship and performance monitoring to meet project goals.
  4. Structural & Civil Engineering Oversight: Approving structural designs and calculations, and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with standards and sustainability practices.
  5. Construction Administration: Overseeing site inspections, reviewing submittals, managing RFIs, handling change orders, and ensuring contractor compliance with standards.
  6. Cost Estimation & Budget Management: Preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and value engineering reports using industry tools like CostX; managing procurement and cost control processes.
  7. Risk & Quality Assurance: Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies while maintaining rigorous QA/QC protocols.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintaining effective communication with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and regulators; providing regular updates on project status, costs, risks, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications include relevant skills, educational background, experience, or certifications related to civil engineering, project management, or infrastructure development.
