Financial and Business Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations for our growing retail chain.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, such as tax laws and environmental regulations.
  • Develop internal control policies, procedures, and systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Collaborate with store and station managers to optimize inventory management and cost controls.
  • Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Implement financial systems and tools to improve automation, reporting, and efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a top-tier university.
  • At least 7 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in retail or convenience store operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software, such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI/reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple locations and a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with fuel tax filings, inventory shrink analysis, and POS systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental and fuel compliance financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience integrating financial systems during acquisitions or expansions.

  • Experience: At least 7 years
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
