The Benefits Program Specialist plays a vital role in managing employee benefits programs, ensuring timely communication and accurate record-keeping. This position involves coordinating with employees, vendors, and external stakeholders to resolve benefits-related inquiries and maintain compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to resolve employee issues and ensure prompt response times.
- Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries about benefits programs, enrollment, and eligibility.
- Enrollment Management: Facilitate open enrollment, new hire onboarding, and life event changes in benefits plans.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
- Data Management: Maintain and update benefits records in HRIS and other systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Benefits Education: Conduct sessions to enhance employee understanding of available benefits.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on benefits usage, costs, and trends to support decision-making and program optimization.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication and customer service abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
