Job Description:
The Benefits Program Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and executing employee benefits programs. This involves coordinating with employees, vendors, and external stakeholders regarding benefits, accurate records management, and timely communication.
This specialist is responsible for assisting in the administration of health insurance and other employee benefits, collaborating with vendors to resolve employee issues, and ensuring quick response times.
Key responsibilities include responding to employee inquiries about benefits programs, enrollment, and eligibility, facilitating open enrollment, new hire onboarding, and life event changes in benefits plans, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
This role also involves data management, maintaining and updating benefits records in HRIS and other systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality, conducting sessions to enhance employee understanding of available benefits, and preparing reports on benefits usage, costs, and trends to support decision-making and program optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role is necessary.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and benefits management systems is essential.
