Senior Backend Developer Position

This role involves designing, implementing and maintaining scalable backend systems that power the platform's functionality.

  • Developing software solutions for the company's products with a focus on backend infrastructure for smooth operation of the platform.
  • Shaping engineering strategy to align with long-term organizational goals and delivering high-impact solutions.
  • Driving technical roadmap planning and leading complex backend projects from concept through delivery, optimizing for reliability, performance and scalability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to refine requirements and design secure, efficient backend solutions.
  • Writing clean, maintainable and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Typescript, Python or Golang.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with caching technologies like Redis.
  • Prior experience working with Microservices architecture and implementing event-driven systems.
