About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to oversee the Fresh Dairy, Bakery & Frozen department. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, optimizing inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
  • Collaborate with the Floor Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure seamless stock control measures
  • Provide authoritative leadership to the Store Associates, directing them in the execution of mass merchandising strategies and shelf management protocols
  • Contribute significantly to the achievement of departmental sales targets through effective implementation of sales initiatives
  • Maintain a visually appealing and organized department, adhering to established planograms and presentation standards
  • Implement and manage a robust system for tracking product expiries and ensuring 100% cleanliness across all departmental areas
  • Guarantee 100% product shelf visibility within the department at all times
  • Implement effective measures to reduce shrinkage to predetermined target levels
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Intermediate degree with 6-8 years of experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
