Job Title: Software Quality Assurance SpecialistRole Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by evaluating and reporting bugs and non-confirming elements.

You will work closely with our development team to create project work plans, update them on a daily basis, and provide input on time estimates required for QA/QC related activities.

Your tasks will include maintaining and updating standard test cases, verifying them as applied by the development team, acquiring understanding of domain knowledge/business logic, and preparing functional test cases.

You will also report bugs and enhancement-related suggestions, verify them to make them ready for delivery, and categorize bugs according to their significance.

Additionally, you will maintain bug reports using Test Director, release them on VSS Server, and verify projects and patches received for first time or against bugs after evaluating them on standard as well as functional test cases.

You will keep track of the number of bugs reported in each category and prepare project reports specifying statistical data of bugs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least one year (01) of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Black Box Testing, Smoke Testing, Integration, Regression Testing, and other test types.
  • Database Concepts: Excellent database concepts with hands-on experience on SQL Server 2005/2008.
  • Bug Testing Tools: Hands-on knowledge about bug testing tools such as Mantis, Bugzilla, Test Director, etc.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Mentorship: Ability to serve as mentor for developers.
  • Teamwork: Strong team player with ability to lead.
