Senior Technical Director

About the Role:

This position involves overseeing R&D projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within allocated resources. The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical engineering background and experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project strategies, allocating personnel and equipment as needed to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to define project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and adjusting plans as necessary to meet goals.
  • Lead design and analysis teams on various projects, ensuring designs meet requirements and comply with industry standards.
  • Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement within project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts and maintain accurate records and reporting on project status and outcomes.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.

Minimum 9 years of post-qualification experience in R&D, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Experience in Oil and Gas or Public sector is highly desirable.
