ESG Compliance Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ESG Compliance Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our company's ESG and EPR compliance framework for packaging and textile materials.

This involves monitoring regulatory requirements, internal policies, sustainable supply chain initiatives, and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the EPR regulatory landscape to ensure compliance with current and forthcoming regulations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Developing and implementing processes for tracking EPR materials and data mapping.
  • Utilizing attention to detail and organizational skills to drive results.
  • Supporting Traceability mapping of material usage in the supply chain.
  • Updating internal policies to promote lightweight packaging strategies and reduce waste.
  • Contributing to ESG waste initiatives within the supply chain to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining relationships with industry organizations such as CAA, Canada EPR, AFIRM, AAFA, Canopy, FSC, and others.
  • Ensuring timely submission of regulatory reporting and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Supporting management team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Science, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance, EPR, risk management, or regulatory affairs.
  • Strong understanding of local and international compliance regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools and regulatory reporting systems.
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with apparel manufacturing and industry fashion trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and research, reporting analytic tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
