Cloud Network Operations Manager Job Description

 

Job Purpose:

  • Manage and oversee the operation and deployment of Telecom Cloud Network Infrastructure to ensure efficient performance and reliability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cloud infrastructure resource management, focusing on optimization, maintenance, and upgrade activities.
  • Oversee project implementations related to network performance efficiency and security, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate with vendors to manage faults, optimize system configurations, and ensure seamless integration with live networks.
  • Develop and maintain spare part inventories and critical data connectivity documentation.
  • Handle alarm escalation procedures, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate in the planning and execution of new deployments, optimizations, and upgrades of cloud-based services.
  • Coordinate node deployments and their integration with the live network, ensuring smooth functionality.
  • Plan and implement system upgrades and patches for datacom networks.
  • Work closely with other departments to address new requirements, develop implementation plans, and execute projects efficiently.
  • Lead migration activities from legacy systems to cloud environments.

 

Qualifications:

  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecom, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in cloud network operations and management is required.

 

Skills and Qualities:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and pressure handling abilities.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ZTE/Huawei Cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in managing MANO, NFVI deployments, and having knowledge of Huawei CloudOS (FusionSphere), VIM, and MAE.
  • Understanding of core network services for both PS and CS networks.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, including data signaling flow analysis and Wireshark tracing.
