Job Title: IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process Optimization: Enhance Service Desk incident logging systems to deliver efficient service to clients.
  2. Knowledge Management: Ensure the Service Desk utilizes relevant knowledge management tools and practices effectively.
  3. Tactical Teamwork: Contribute to business success, improve customer experience, and meet goals set by line managers.
  4. Governance Compliance: Identify gaps in policies, meeting best practices like ITIL, and manage user administration, including account setup and maintenance.
  5. Infrastructure Monitoring: Verify proper functioning of peripherals, arrange repairs for hardware failures, and monitor system performance.
  6. User Support: Provide end-user support, create backup and recovery policies, and configure network communication devices.
  7. Security Measures: Implement security policies for users with a strong grasp of computer security, and maintain accurate records.
  8. Technical Maintenance: Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on all IT equipment, ensuring network connectivity meets technical standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Key Competencies: The ideal candidate must possess technical skills, with ongoing skill upgrades to meet changing job conditions. Key competencies include minimizing recurring issues, monitoring and troubleshooting applications and operating systems, adhering to safety practices, planning and managing projects, following and implementing IT best practices, and maintaining accurate records.
