About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned sales and marketing professional to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture or business administration, as well as exceptional leadership and communication skills.

This leader will be responsible for providing strategic direction and managing the activities of our sales and marketing staff. They will develop new customer relationships through market research, customer identification, and effective communication with potential customers.

  • They will determine annual sales and profit plans by implementing targeted marketing strategies, analyzing trends, and evaluating results.
  • The leader will ensure that all internal and external sales and marketing programs accurately reflect our brand identity and values.
  • They will maintain department profitability by controlling expenses and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • They will respond promptly and effectively to customer issues, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • The leader will monitor market trends and competitor activity, proposing new product offerings to maintain our competitive edge and increase market share.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of agronomy, plant pathology, and plant breeding and genetics would be advantageous but not required.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Management

Provide strategic direction and manage the activities of our sales and marketing staff.

Customer Development

Develop new customer relationships through market research, customer identification, and effective communication with potential customers.

Business Planning

Determine annual sales and profit plans by implementing targeted marketing strategies, analyzing trends, and evaluating results.

Marketing and Branding

E nsure that all internal and external sales and marketing programs accurately reflect our brand identity and values.

Department Performance

Maintain department profitability by controlling expenses and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Customer Service

Respond promptly and effectively to customer issues, fostering trust and loyalty.

Market Analysis

Monitor market trends and competitor activity, proposing new product offerings to maintain our competitive edge and increase market share.

Requirements
  • Preferrably, knowledge of agronomy, plant pathology, and plant breeding and genetics would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
