Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of transportation operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Optimize routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Manage elapsed drive and service times to maximize capacity utilization for vehicles.
  • Ensure safety, hygiene, and food quality by implementing proper temperature monitoring and quality assurance measures.
  • Conduct regular quality checks before loading, during transit, and after loading to maintain high standards.
  • Arrange labor for loading/unloading, maintain records, and handle related tasks as required.
  • Coordinate loading information between drivers and clients, provide instructions/training to the workforce on cargo loading, and optimize load and unload times.
  • Respond to vehicle accidents, assist drivers, and handle road breakdowns, repair or replace parts to restore vehicle service.
  • Monitor vehicle movement from origin to destination, handle driver queries during transit, keep customers updated on cargo status, and record timings and dates of loading, unloading, and stops.
  • Manage and report work-related injuries, maintain documentation, and generate reports for analysis.
