Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining client data infrastructure.

This is a challenging opportunity for a talented individual to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient data pipelines using leading technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and AWS Kinesis.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues. They will also be responsible for collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Apache Spark, Kafka, and AWS Kinesis for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Own the optimization and performance of data pipelines, ensuring timely delivery of data for critical business needs.
  • Build and maintain data models in data warehouse systems like Snowflake or AWS Redshift, with a focus on data quality and consistency.
  • Develop and implement data cleansing and transformation routines to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain data infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and implement data security measures.
  • Automate routine tasks and implement DevOps practices to streamline data engineering processes.
Requirements:
  • Mid-senior level: At least 7+ years of experience as a data engineer or related role.
  • Data Management: Knowledge of data modeling techniques, data quality practices, and data governance principles.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Continuous Learning: Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies.
