As a key player in procurement operations, this role will oversee the acquisition and management of raw materials and excipients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, enabling them to develop and execute purchasing strategies that reduce expenses and enhance efficiency.

  • This includes procuring high-quality raw materials from suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely deliveries meet requirements.
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for evaluating supply agreements, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships with internal departments and external partners.
  • They will also be accountable for monitoring supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • In addition, they will play a key role in collaborating with IT to develop reports and systems for inventory management, new product development, and ordering processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Determining delivery quantities and timing, recording daily shipments, and reconciling inventories.
  • Establishing and updating approved supplier lists, manufacturer lists, and raw material price lists.
  • Reviewing procurement-to-order processes for excipients, maintaining good service levels, and resolving issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing in a timely manner.

This position requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
