Job Title: Biomedical Executive

The role of Biomedical Executive is to oversee the provision of after-sales services for medical equipment, working closely with various stakeholders including sales, marketing, customers, technical teams and competitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure comprehensive knowledge of all life-saving medical equipment supplied by the company, including operating, technical, and clinical aspects.
  2. Periodically review previous work completion data, future projected scheduled work assignments, quality assurance related issues, new equipment incoming inspections, and other projects or equipment support needs, ensuring processes are in place to respond appropriately to equipment user requests.
  3. Work collaboratively with departmental teams and clients on projects involving new equipment acquisition, installation, renovation, modification, or removal, including annual evaluations of medical equipment requiring budgeted replacement.
  4. Participate in and/or assist with development of continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department and hospital setting, focusing on maximizing patient safety through proper use, application, and operational performance of patient care equipment.
  5. Manage service contracts, assessing cost-effectiveness and making recommendations, verifying the cost-effectiveness and applicability of work performed, and meeting with clients regularly to discuss failure rates and repair histories on major devices and systems.
  6. Perform planned maintenance of dialysis machines or other equipment as per service contracts or requirements.
  7. Maintain accurate records of service performed at the organization and keep this information up-to-date.
  8. Stay informed about competitor activities and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, HODs, and biomedical departments to prepare specifications for medical equipment tenders.
  9. Be responsible for communication with technical departments of manufacturers regarding technical support matters and ensure that key opinion leaders (KOLs) are satisfied with the company's technical and clinical support before and after purchase.
