Job Title: Payroll Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage our payroll operations, ensuring seamless processing and compliance with UK regulations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including holiday calculations, absence management, statutory leave and payments, and pension administration. They will also oversee timesheet management, compensation management, and deductions, as well as tax compliance and final salary payments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Holiday Calculations: Manage entitlements, zero-hour contracts, new starters, leavers, and holiday pay in accordance with UK law.
  2. Absence Management: Handle deductions and payments for absences, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  3. Statutory Leave and Payments: Calculate maternity, paternity, adoption leave, and statutory sick pay (SSP) in line with regulatory requirements.
  4. Payroll Processing: Run payroll, create payslips, P45s, P60s, and P11Ds, maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
  5. Timesheet Management: Oversee overtime and zero-hour contract payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  6. Compensation Management: Administer bonuses, commissions, and other payouts, aligning with company policies and industry standards.
  7. Deductions: Process gross and net deductions for items such as parking fines, Ride2work schemes, and advances, maintaining transparency and fairness.
  8. Pension Administration: Manage auto-enrollment, pension holidays, and compliance, ensuring employee benefits and contributions are accurately processed.
  9. Final Calculations: Handle final salary and redundancy payments, adhering to regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
  10. Tax Compliance: Update tax codes and incorporate HMRC amendments, maintaining accurate records and meeting tax obligations.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, with a strong understanding of UK payroll regulations.
  2. Strong knowledge of MS Excel and payroll software, with advanced skills in data management and analysis.
  3. Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  4. Familiarity with tax compliance and regulatory requirements, with the ability to update tax codes and incorporate HMRC amendments.
