System Administrator Position

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will provide remote support for our hybrid on-premises virtualized infrastructure and cloud-based services hosted on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

The role focuses on maintaining system availability, performance, and security across both premises and cloud environments, including support for critical Microsoft security and compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions to ensure the smooth operation of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Azure Administration: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Azure resources to monitor performance, manage security settings, and ensure scalability and availability.
  • Identity and Access Management: Implement and manage Entra services to provide secure access management and configure identity and access policies.
  • System Maintenance: Regularly monitor and maintain computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Software Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and update software and operating systems on servers and workstations.
  • Network Management: Manage network services, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect data, systems, and networks from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup strategies and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, Microsoft Entra Administrator, Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft 365 Security, MCSE) are highly desirable.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in System Administration or a similar role in a hybrid cloud large enterprise environment.
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, MDI, MIP, and MFA/Conditional Access.
  • Familiarity with email protection tools and configurations in Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
  • Good understanding of networking, IT security principles, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in a 24/7 environment.
Working Conditions:
  • This position operates in a 24/7 environment, requiring shift work (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
  • May require occasional on-call responsibilities.
