ERP Project Lead

We are seeking a seasoned ERP project lead to spearhead the implementation and management of enterprise resource planning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems, business process automation, and project management with a focus on delivering value through technology.

  • Lead ERP gap analysis and oversee ERP implementation or upgrades, ensuring alignment with business processes and delivering measurable value.
  • Drive change management and process improvements across ERP platforms with a focus on automation, coaching, and user training.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization, ERP vendors, and digital service providers, ensuring effective communication, process alignment, and solution delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through digital transformation and new technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of ERP and IT projects.
  • Collaborate with business users to develop RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other technical procurement documents.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and provide strategic recommendations based on business requirements.
  • Ensure project delivery within defined scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop project business cases, scopes, and objectives, engaging relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Manage resource allocation and ensure availability for project requirements.
  • Facilitate process documentation, requirements gathering, system testing, and user training in collaboration with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to monitor progress and performance.
  • Apply change management techniques to handle project scope, timeline, and cost adjustments effectively.
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and report progress to senior management.
  • Build strong relationships with business users, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
  • Identify and manage project risks to minimize impact.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing IT and ERP-related projects for corporate business functions such as Supply Chain, Finance, and HR — preferably in the airline or aviation sector.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in ERP system implementation, migration, or technical/functional support (preferably Oracle EBS).
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise systems, back-office solutions, and operational platforms, ideally within the airline industry.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are preferred.
  • Deep understanding of financial and supply chain processes, including:
    • Core Financials (GL, AP, AR, CM, FA)
    • Airline Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting
    • Route Profitability
    • Sourcing, Contracting, and Tendering
    • Supplier Management, Spend Analysis
    • Procurement, Inventory, Asset, and Warehouse Management
  • Proven experience in implementing ERP, Source-to-Pay, and Enterprise Performance Management systems in large organizations (2,500+ employees).
  • Ability to ensure delivery of both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience with system integration design and development, including external interfaces and integration platforms.
  • Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and system architecture.
  • Expertise in business process documentation, requirement gathering, gap analysis, solution design, CRP sessions, training, and system implementation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills with attention to detail and a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and team management skills.
