Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Engagement Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing appointment schedules, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Appointment Management:

    Schedule patient appointments efficiently, utilizing clinicians' time effectively.

    Make reminder calls to patients about upcoming appointments and provide necessary instructions.

    Inform patients about delays or waiting times to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.

  • Patient Information and Records:

    Accurately and confidentially obtain patients' addresses, contact details, insurance information, and medical histories.

    Update and verify patient information at each visit, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations.

    Assist patients in completing patient history forms, consent forms, and payment contract forms when required.

  • Financial Transactions:

    Receive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered, maintaining patient confidentiality.

    Review patient accounts, identify delinquent accounts, and follow up to collect overdue payments.

    Coordinate with the billing department to address any billing or insurance-related concerns raised by patients.

  • Customer Service:

    Answer patient inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

    Investigate and resolve patient concerns or direct them to the appropriate medical staff member for assistance.

    Follow up with patients to ensure their inquiries or complaints have been satisfactorily resolved.

    Demonstrate empathy and compassion when speaking and interacting with patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

  • Administrative and Clerical Support:

    Perform general administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, organizing documents, and maintaining office supplies.

    Assist in maintaining electronic and paper records, ensuring their accuracy and accessibility.

    Collaborate with other team members to support the overall functioning of the office.
