Mechanical Engineer Role

The primary function of the Mechanical Engineer role is to oversee and manage manufacturing operations, ensuring they meet set targets for volume, quality, and cost efficiency.

This position reports directly to the Manager Maintenance and requires an individual with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Operations Oversight: Ensure manufacturing operations are carried out efficiently and effectively to meet specified volume, quality, and cost goals.
  • Maintenance Activities: Responsible for the effective and timely maintenance of mechanical systems and auxiliaries, ensuring compliance with scheduled maintenance plans via SAP.
  • Project Execution: Share new ideas for improving quality, prepare feasibility reports, BOQs, follow procurement procedures, and ensure safe execution of capital projects within stipulated timelines.
  • EHS Responsibilities: Implement EHS standards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure a safe working environment for subordinates.
  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify opportunities for cost savings, recommend new equipment/methods, and procedures to reduce labor expenses.
  • Staff Development: Build relationships with stakeholders, foster a team-based approach, develop staff awareness of best practices, supervise and guide technical activities, and follow TNA for staff development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Process, or Food industries
  • 4-7 years of hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of electrical installations
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
