Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our software products. As a member of our QA team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire bug lifecycle from detection to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bug Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire bug lifecycle from detection to resolution, ensuring that all bugs are thoroughly investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Efficient Tracking and Management: Ensure efficient tracking and management of bug reports, utilizing project management tools to track and manage bug tickets effectively.
  • Bug Prevention Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to minimize the occurrence of bugs, working closely with the development team to understand new features and design specific test cases for the website.
  • Prioritization and Evaluation: Evaluate and prioritize bug tickets based on severity, frequency, and impact on business and users, ensuring that high-priority issues are addressed promptly.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the development team to understand new features and requirements, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Test Case Design and Maintenance: Design specific test cases for the website, focusing on user experience, functionality, and performance, and regularly review and update test cases to align with evolving features.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in QA and software testing, ensuring that you remain current and effective in your role.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience of at least 2 years in quality assurance positions, preferably within the field of technology.
  • Quality Assurance Tools: Advanced experience with quality assurance tools such as project management software.
  • Ownership and Accountability: Strong sense of ownership of tasks and responsibilities, with attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy when assigned tasks.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Keen problem solver with well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, able to set achievable and measurable personal goals for performance and growth.
  • Time Management: Able to juggle multiple competing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
