Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Maintenance Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of civil maintenance activities across our main campus. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, effective communication abilities, and the ability to supervise and train employees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are properly handed over with a complete punch listing process, providing proper supervision and coordination for the activities of technical staff as appropriate to the needs, overseeing and planning the facility's safe and effective repairs and upkeep while ensuring that our policies and standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire planning, inspections, and monitoring of main campus civil maintenance activities along with minor projects.
  • Ensure all construction activities are properly handed over with a complete punch listing process.
  • Provide proper supervision and coordination for the activities of technical staff as appropriate to the needs.
  • Oversee and plan the facility's safe and effective repairs and upkeep while ensuring that our policies and standards are followed.
  • Prepare technical and financial comparative statements in accordance with compliance of outsourcing policy.
  • Assist your supervisor in preparing budget requirements and ensure control of variances for cost-effective operations within your area of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 6-8 years of experience in civil work-related roles with supervisory capabilities.
  • Proficiency in computer knowledge is required.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to cope with stress.
  • Team leadership qualities to independently lead multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Ability to take initiative and analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain record-keeping systems and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
