Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description:

The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of cash into the organization by efficiently managing accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and approved service agreements.
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis of receivables, comparing budget vs. actual and current vs. prior periods.
  • Ensuring all billing and invoicing activities comply with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Coordinating with Sales, Project Management, and Technical teams to verify billing inputs and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proactively following up with customers to ensure timely collection of receivables and resolution of overdue accounts.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable aging and prioritizing collection efforts accordingly.
  • Communicating with clients to resolve billing disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Preparing periodic reports on billing and collection performance, including aging analysis, overdue receivables, and collection efficiency.
  • Assisting in the preparation of post-closing analysis and providing receivable-related inputs to senior management.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital planning by providing timely receivables updates.
  • Assisting in provisioning for doubtful receivables and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) workings, in line with IFRS 9.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate closure of monthly financial reporting relating to receivables and billing.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing cycles, and credit control.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in billing, receivables, or collections.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external clients.
