GBV Specialist Position

**Job Overview:**

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the effective prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV) in our organization. The GBV Specialist will work closely with program teams to design, implement, and monitor GBV programs that address the needs of survivors and promote community safety.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement GBV programs that are aligned with our organizational strategy and goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to program teams on GBV programming, including case management, risk mitigation, and response strategies.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and implementation of GBV programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate GBV programs to ensure they are meeting their intended outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in GBV programming and share knowledge with program teams to enhance their capacity to prevent and respond to GBV.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 1 year of experience working in GBV programming, preferably in an international context.
  • Strong understanding of GBV concepts, principles, and best practices in programming.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in local languages an asset.
