Job Description

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service to doctors, hospitals and other health-related organizations within an assigned territory. The representative will make professional presentations to targeted doctors using selling skills to increase prescriptions.

The incumbent will be required to prepare doctors/chemists contact records list and maintain all call records accordingly. They must also prepare weekly and monthly call plans and submit them for approval to their manager.

Key Responsibilities include calling on practicing physicians, hospitals and other health-related organizations/personnel within an assigned territory. The representative must make professional presentations using selling skills to listed doctors on the approved indications of products with a view to increase prescriptions.

The person in this position must follow approved tour programs, make planned calls accordingly and present coverage in scheduled meetings. They are also expected to arrange product group meetings with doctors to discuss one or two products in detail and update knowledge on competitive products.

Responsibilities also include collecting and reporting information on promotional and marketing moves of the competition. The person in this position must provide periodic feedback to their manager and the marketing group on their own promotional activities.

They are responsible for coordinating with distributors for desired stock availability of products with retail outlets. This involves following plans to achieve objectives assigned for increased prescription flow from identified doctors and reporting findings periodically to their manager.

In addition, they must forward technical queries raised by doctors to the medical division for clarification with intimation to the Health Representative Manager. Proper dressing, maintenance of records, detailing kit and vehicle are also part of their responsibilities. Submissions of expenses and leave plans as per deadlines are mandatory.
