About the Role
  • We are seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to join our team, bringing strong Linux, troubleshooting, networking, and scripting skills to develop highly available and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Support and build highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Tune and enhance system performance.
  • Automate daily routines to optimize efficiency.
  • Deploy systems efficiently and effectively.
  • Evaluate and implement security measures to maintain compliance.
  • Ensure application scalability and redundancy.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Linux systems.
  • Develop scripting skills for automation.
  • Monitor systems for optimal performance.
  • Familiarize yourself with public cloud technology.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux administration and private/public cloud management.
  • Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (REHL) and Ubuntu.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise Linux, including kernel tuning and OS monitoring tools.
  • Experience with software project build automation and integration tools.
  • Proficiency in Shell (bash/ksh) and Python scripting.
  • Working knowledge in orchestration and configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • In-depth knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Familiarity with load balancing, firewall, TLS encryption, disk encryption, and other infrastructure services.
  • Good understanding of architectural concepts for traditional 3-tier applications and microservices-based applications.
  • Experience with containerized environments like Open Container Initiative, Docker, CoreOS.
  • Extensive experience with 'Infrastructure as Code' and automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Templates & DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Application Containerization and Kubernetes Clusters.
  • Ability to provide guidance on infrastructure migration techniques and cloud architecture solutions.
  • Leadership experience in cloud adoption and establishing best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies in Operations and Development.
  • Able to evaluate work results in an enterprise context.
  • Familiarity with basic Project Management techniques.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and difficult situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team management proficiency.
  • Clear vision on strategy, road to success, and phases of delivery.
  • Experience working in 24x7 environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements.
