Director of Data Center Operations

The Director of Data Center Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our data centers, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing hardware, servers, SAN, telecommunication infrastructure, and networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee data center facilities, including hardware, servers, SAN, telecommunication infrastructure, and networks.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of data center, networks, infrastructure, associated IT systems, software applications, and data.
  • Conduct regular audits of SOP's and application processes to prevent social engineering attacks.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide remote access through wireless and mobile computing.
  • Assist in deploying connectivity through Internet and Data Links.
  • Configure network connections on Layer 3 Switches in separate virtual Local Area Network (vLAN) for customer subnets.
  • Maintain workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT-related hardware deployed at various offices.
  • Install, configure, fault manage, and troubleshoot Operating System, application software, biometric access control system, video surveillance system.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

  • Develop and implement Business Continuity Plan (BCP) / Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
  • Manage highly redundant Storage Area Network (SAN) at primary and metro sites.
  • Perform data backups and restoration.
  • Replicate data from Primary site to Metro site at both Data Centers.
  • Restore data with previous day's data from offsite, in the event of total catastrophe.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in enterprise server hardware, operating systems, security systems, data center, and distributed operations.
  • Expertise in IT virtual technologies and other IT Green technologies.
  • Experience in designing, planning, and managing state-of-the-art data centers.
  • Certifications in CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent.
  • Certification in virtualization and experience in Cloud Computing.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
