Job Description","

The primary function of this position is to oversee and manage the entire tax strategy and compliance process for the organization.

  • Filing and Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax returns,
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation to support all tax filings,
  • Regulatory Adherence: Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance,
  • Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities,
  • Advisory Role: Provide guidance on tax implications for business decisions,
  • Forecasting: Project future tax liabilities and assist in financial planning,
  • Internal Audits: Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance and identify areas of risk,
  • External Audits: Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee responses to tax audits,
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any tax disputes or issues that arise,
  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of tax professionals,
  • Workflow Management: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met,
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive tax compliance,
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review tax provision calculations and related disclosures,
  • Analysis: Analyze tax data and trends to provide insights and recommendations,
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax-related risks to the organization,
  • Systems Management: Implement and manage tax software and systems,
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve tax processes and increase efficiency,
  • Tax Policies: Develop and implement tax policies and procedures,
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on tax-related matters,
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the organization and tax authorities,
  • Representation: Represent the organization in tax-related discussions and negotiations
