Finance Manager - Budgeting and Planning

This role involves analysing information, developing budgets, tracking expenses against planned/approved budgets and reporting any risks related to projects.

The position is responsible for enabling different departments to work with user-friendly templates to prepare departmental budgets – top-down targets and generate a bottom-up budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • Releasing the budget & supplementary budget in the system once reviewed.
  • Entering non-manufacturing expenses submitted by cost centre custodian into the SAP system.
  • Preparing and submitting planned expenses to Controller (Analysts) during corporate plan cycle. After approval, incorporating in SAP to get plan/actual comparison post which analysis needs to be done.
  • Calculating the activity price derived via production plan.
  • Creating, reviewing and changing Internal Order master data with required data (as and when required).
  • Conducting costing run before the start of new period (approx. 1 week earlier) to estimate costs for all required materials.
  • Preparing planned vs actual reports on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly basis for Senior Management's review.
  • Monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Identifying financial or operating risks associated with the execution of the contract or project.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analysis to determine value for products and their related costs.
  • Establishing objectives for saving; minimizing, controlling, and/or managing expenses.
  • All other tasks assigned by the Head Budgeting & Planning.

Requirements:

  • CA Finalist with at least 3 years of article ship completed
  • Experience: 4 - 7 years in relevant field
  • Strong organisation, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
