Seeking a skilled Tender & Proposal Engineer to develop technically sound and commercially competitive solutions for large-scale engineering projects in the power distribution and solar energy sectors.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, specifically in proposal development, estimation, and bidding. They will be responsible for creating detailed scopes of work, BOQs, and project deliverables based on client RFQs, assessing proposal feasibility, risks, and resource requirements, and developing cost-effective solutions for power and solar energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Project Proposals: Create comprehensive proposals aligned with ITB specifications and drawings, ensuring technical soundness and commercial competitiveness.
  2. Risk Assessment and Management: Perform risk assessments, cash flow analyses, and scheduling for proposed projects, identifying potential pitfalls and developing mitigation strategies.
  3. Team Collaboration: Lead a team of engineers, facilitating cross-departmental coordination and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  4. Client Engagement: Engage regularly with clients, stakeholders, and business development teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Bid Management:
  1. Project Budgeting: Develop precise cost estimations, monitoring project budgets and tracking project timelines, deliverables, and milestone completion.
  2. Bid Package Preparation: Finalize bid packages ensuring compliance with commercial and technical standards, preparing WBS structures, resource loading, and scheduling plans.
  3. Commercial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks in proposals, ensuring alignment with legal, technical, and contractual standards.
  4. Supplier Management: Liaise with suppliers for material procurement, evaluating vendor bids and responding to technical clarifications during and after the bidding phase.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Education: BE in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
  2. Experience: 5+ years in proposal engineering, estimation, and bidding for large-scale engineering projects.
  3. Preferred Skills: Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and project planning tools, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  4. Familiarity with Industry Standards: Familiarity with tender regulations, industry standards, and contract compliance.
