Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the maintenance of our sewing machines and facilities within the denim garments division.

The ideal candidate will ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, manage spare parts inventory, and implement preventive maintenance programs while supervising and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

This role requires strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of industrial sewing machines (Juki, Brother, Pegasus, etc.), finishing equipment, and supporting utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
  • Develop and implement schedules for regular maintenance, including weekly, monthly, and annual tasks.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians to enhance efficiency and technical skills.
  • Oversee the maintenance section, including machine allocation, spare parts, needles, oils, and inventory control.
  • Monitor expenses and effectively control the maintenance budget.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and breakdown reports.
  • Establish and manage maintenance priorities to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
  • Handle procurement processes related to parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
  • Enforce health, safety, and compliance standards across maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • Education: DAE / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7–10 years in garment/sewing machine maintenance, with 3–5 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial sewing machines.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on expertise in machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance systems.
