Megastruck is looking for a seasoned legal professional to lead our legal department. This executive-level position requires a deep understanding of legal principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute key legal processes, including drafting, negotiations, and commercial settlement of agreements, while managing a team of junior lawyers.
  • Serve as a mentor to legal department personnel, fostering their professional growth and grooming them for future leadership roles.
  • Manage legal risk within the business by providing senior leadership with strategic and operational guidance on all legal matters affecting their individual departmental transactions.
  • Review financing agreements, undertakings, and align the company's legal and compliance framework, vetting mortgage documents.
  • Provide senior leadership with guidance on litigation issues, such as contract disputes and product liability, aiding them in management.
  • Influence cross-functional teams towards a unified direction, collaborating with other senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills to negotiate transactional documents, including mergers and acquisitions, contract acquisitions, and service level agreements.
  • Draft and manage complex patent, trademark, and regulatory documentation, handling these matters with ease in a fast-paced environment.
  • Instruct and assist external legal partners in identifying potential legal risks and assessing issues impacting legal risk, ensuring viable risk management approaches.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership across the company to identify and manage potential legal risk, suggesting improvements where necessary.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Requirements:
  • Louisiana Bar Association (LLB) or equivalent, preferably with a Master's degree in management.
  • At least 12-15 years of progressive experience as a Legal Advisor in a public listed company or large organization.
  • Deep understanding of SECP and SBP regulations.
  • Executive-level leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing legal departments.
