Senior Director of Architecture

This high-level position oversees all aspects of architectural projects, from concept design to construction completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of architects and designers to deliver projects within budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the design process, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide creative solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design plans.
  • Review and approve all architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities.
  • Identify potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery and develop contingency plans as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
  • Experience leading a team of architects or designers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other design software.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with others.
