We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Development Expert to join our team.

About the Role

This is a senior position that requires expertise in back-end software engineering, cloud hosted infrastructure and technologies, Kubernetes & Docker, high-traffic and large-scale web products, web infrastructure, SOA, distributed systems, performance analysis, and search infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with engineers, QA teams, design teams, and tech leads to advance development stacks and ensure scalability for millions of monthly active users.
  • Gather an in-depth understanding of code bases and technologies within weeks.
  • Lead planning sessions around new product features and deliver roll-out/roll-back strategies for releases.
  • Create unit tests following established standards.
  • Write and maintain exemplary code adhering to programming practices.
  • Contribute to post-release maintenance issues.
  • Develop elegant solutions for complex problems.
  • Pioneer reliability and efficiency of current code bases, platforms, and core systems.
  • Influence technical vision direction and scope within streams.
  • Work as a mentor in peer-programming environments, providing guidance on tasks.
  • Code review major pull requests and define programming standards.
  • Design and delivery of multiple REST based APIs and experience with Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Push back requirements when incomplete.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional back-end software engineering experience.
  • Experience with Cloud hosted infrastructure and Technologies.
  • Prior experience with Kubernetes & Docker is beneficial.
  • Experience working on high-traffic and large-scale web products is preferred.
  • Experience with web infrastructure, SOA, distributed systems, performance analysis, search infrastructure.
