Key Account Manager Sales Role

The position requires the management of key accounts to foster long-term relationships, with a focus on maximizing sales opportunities within them. This involves acquiring an in-depth understanding of key customer needs and expanding relationships through proposed solutions that meet their objectives.

Please Note: The above responsibilities outline the main duties of this role. Staff members are expected to demonstrate flexibility and undertake tasks reasonably allocated to them. When any task becomes a regular part of responsibilities, the job description should be updated in consultation with the manager, staff member, and HR Department.

  • Fostering trust relationships with major clients to ensure retention and prevent competition.
  • Understanding key customer needs and expanding relationships through effective solutions.
  • Maintaining and growing current business in assigned territories to meet or exceed objectives.
  • Negotiating and closing commercial agreements according to company guidelines.
  • Achieving sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Providing training to customers and their associates on product lines and marketing programs.
  • Managing bids and participating in sales promotion activities.
  • Utilizing relationship selling techniques to help customers grow their business with our solutions.
  • Resolving product issues promptly.
  • Collaborating with Accounts Receivable on credit issues.
  • Participating in opportunity mapping sessions with vendors.
  • Engaging in vendor/product selection meetings for potential opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate sales CRM records.
Responsibilities

Additional routine tasks include the preparation of weekly reports and quarterly reviews, maintaining data recording systems, and communicating with management.

Requirements
  • Knowledge: Deep industry expertise, motivated, highly organized.
  • Skills: Familiarity with our products, proficiency in MS Office, strong account management and relationship skills.
  • Abilities: Reliable, responsible, goal-oriented, able to manage decision-makers, and present business cases effectively.
Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field, preferably in System Integration or IT sales.
Competencies
